Bicep Exercises

We'd all like to have impressive looking arms, right?

Well, exercises for the biceps are great for adding size and definition to your upper arms if you're looking for how to build biceps and are an important factor in building strength.

Biceps anatomy

The biceps (biceps brachii) are relatively small muscles located at the front of the arm and typically make up around one third of the upper arm. They serve a few different functions but the main and most important one is to allow us to flex the arm at the elbow joint.

Training the biceps

The biceps respond and build very well to all forms of curling exercises such as the barbell bicep curl and alternative dumbbell curls. Training them is most effective by performing 3-4 exercises with 2-3 sets on each every 7-10 days. It's important to cautious as to how much you train these muscles. It's easy to forget that the biceps are only small and can be overtrained easily which would really have an impact on your size gains.
