Building Muscular Calves

Calves Anatomy

The calve muscles are broken down into several muscles with the main 2 being the soleus which is found on the lower part of the calve above the ankle and the gastrocnemius which is the main bulk of calve muscle on the upper calve.

The function of the calve muscles is to allow you to bend and extend your foot at the ankle joint and also works

to protect your lower legs from all forms of damage.

Your calves are involves in virtually every action and movement you take so it's important to build strong calves.
